Justin Holland is a Senior Operations Executive with expertise in Integrated Business planning and Supply Chain management covering multi-site operations, global supply chain integration and P&L management. Mr. Holland brings +20 years of demonstrated excellence in strategic planning, demand planning and class A manufacturing from the high tech/electronics, food, and pharmaceutical industries including Pepsi Canada, General Mills, Apotex, and Christie Digital.
Brent Harris founded Eguana after realizing the 20th century approach to power generation and distribution had reached its limit and the future of our power system would be delivered in small distributed packages. An inventor of the Company's core technologies, Mr. Harris first led the commercialization of the Company’s products and then its early sales. He is currently responsible for Eguana's customer service, product marketing, and training programs, sets product strategy and promotes Eguana's brand worldwide. Brent graduated from Queens University in Ontario in Applied Science with a focus on power and control systems and began his career as an instrumentation engineer on international midstream oil and gas projects.
Sonja Kuehnle is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant, with over 10 years’ experience in the energy, forestry, and accounting industries. In addition to working in the Calgary offices of the international accounting firm KPMG LLP, Ms. Kuehnle has served in several multi-sector finance and accounting positions within Western Canada. Ms. Kuehnle has broad based experience in external reporting and compliance and corporate governance.
Daljit Ghotra leads Eguana’s engineering team and is accountable for Eguana's development program, product designs, and technology strategy. Drawing on nearly 20 years of power system development experience spanning various applications including cellular base stations to PV inverters to energy storage systems Mr. Ghotra applies his strong understanding of power control design topologies, system applications and end user requirements to deliver industry leading distributed energy storage solutions. He holds an MSc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
Livio Filice has successfully developed and executed scalable business and sales strategies in the clean tech and renewable energy industries in the US and Canada over the past 12 years, including the North American launch of the Sonnen and Mercedes Benz Energy residential energy storage product lines. Mr. Filice is responsible for Eguana's sales strategy and execution.
Andreas Rückemann joined Eguana Technologies from Mercedes Benz Energy in 2018 and is responsible for Eguana's European business through its subsidiary Eguana GmbH. Dr. Rückemann has 25 years of international experience with a focus on sales and establishing long-term partnerships in large corporates as well as SMEs, including companies such as Evonik Industries, Heliatek and Mercedes Benz Energy.
Stuart Gould is one of the leading experts in distributed energy storage installation for VPP applications in Australia. Building on his expertise as a certified electrician, Mr. Gould has taken on increasingly senior roles with a bias toward advanced technology solutions in the electricial industry. He was most recently responsible for the overall field installation quality of over 1000 residential energy storage systems as part of Australia's first Virtual Power Plant deployed by AGL. Mr. Gould is responsible for Eguana's Australian business, with a focus on customer satisfaction and technical success.
Board of Directors
Mr. Powlick has been an active venture capitalist since 1995 in Silicon Valley and in Europe. He is currently a Venture Partner with Astanor Ventures. Before co-founding Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures in 2000, Mr. Powlick was head of the Strategic Investments and Acquisitions Group for Intel Corporation in Europe and the Middle East.
Mr. Penner recently retired from 40 years including as a partner with KPMG Canada in Calgary. At KPMG Mr. Penner held senior positions within the tax practice and also served on the Canada Partnership Board and as Chairman of the Compensation Committee. His community service work is well recognized and he has often lectured and been published on taxation related issues. Mr. Penner is also a director of Corridor Resources Ltd, Storm Cat Energy Ltd and Terra Energy Ltd.
Michael Carten has more than 25 years national and international experience in the energy industry most recently as Senior Vice President Corporate and Government Finance for Nesbitt Burns. Prior to that he was a senior partner with Bennett Jones one of Canada's leading energy law firms. He has represented some of Canada's largest energy companies has been an advisor to both federal and provincial governments.
Based out of Arizona, USA, Gregory Nelson is the latest addition to the Board of Directors and Senior Management team as an Executive Vice President. Greg Nelson was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of First Solar, the world’s largest manufacturer of thin film solar PV modules and was Chief Operating Officer of ZBB Energy Corporation a manufacturer of advanced battery technologies. Mr. Nelson has more than 20 years of experience in high volume manufacturing and in managing the transition of technology companies from product development to production and commercial success.
