Justin Holland is a Senior Operations Executive with expertise in multi-site operations, supply chain Integration, P&L management and general operations. Mr. Holland brings demonstrated excellence in strategic planning, class A manufacturing, business integration best practices, activity based cost modeling and performance management. He has worked in the High Tech/Electronics, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage and Custom Manufacturing industries with such firms as Christie Digital, Pepsi Canada, General Mills and Torpharm(Apotex).
Brent Harris, P.Eng
Chief Technology Officer, Founder
Brent Harris founded Eguana after realizing that the 20th century approach to power generation and distribution had reached its limit and that the future of our power system would be delivered in small packages. He has a passion for decentralized energy in general and for solar+storage in particular. Brent is an inventor of the Company's technologies, has led the commercialization of its products, and now leads Eguana's sales and marketing team. Brent graduated from Queens University in Ontario in Electrical Engineering.
Martin Duerr, B.Sc., M.A.
Director, Business Development and Marketing
Martin Duerr joined Eguana Technologies from Germany in 2008 and has built his capabilities in the European market. Prior to joining Eguana, he has gained experience at various international companies, such as KPMG, Mueller and Hipp.
Mr. Duerr holds Master's degrees in Economics and Business Administration from WSU Detroit and the University of Augsburg.
Board of Directors
Mr. Powlick is currently a managing director of Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures. Based in London, England, Mr Powlick has been an active venture capitalist since 1995 initially in Silicon Valley and for the past decade in Europe. Before co-founding Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures in 2000, Mr. Powlick was head of the Strategic Investments and Acquisitions group for Intel Corporation in Europe and the Middle East.
Robert D. Penner, CA
Mr. Penner recently retired from 40 years including as a partner with KPMG Canada in Calgary. At KPMG Mr. Penner held senior positions within the tax practice and also served on the Canada Partnership Board and as Chairman of the Compensation Committee. His community service work is well recognized and he has often lectured and been published on taxation related issues. Mr. Penner is also a director of Corridor Resources Ltd, Storm Cat Energy Ltd and Terra Energy Ltd.
Michael Carten, LLB
Michael Carten has more than 25 years national and international experience in the energy industry most recently as Senior Vice President Corporate and Government Finance for Nesbitt Burns. Prior to that he was a senior partner with Bennett Jones one of Canada's leading energy law firms. He has represented some of Canada's largest energy companies has been an advisor to both federal and provincial governments.
Gregory H. Nelson
Based out of Arizona, USA, Gregory Nelson is the latest addition to the Board of Directors and Senior Management team as an Executive Vice President. Greg Nelson was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of First Solar, the world’s largest manufacturer of thin film solar PV modules and was Chief Operating Officer of ZBB Energy Corporation a manufacturer of advanced battery technologies. Mr. Nelson has more than 20 years of experience in high volume manufacturing and in managing the transition of technology companies from product development to production and commercial success.
